How to see your top songs on Spotify

You can check your most played songs and your most listened to song in two ways. Both take a few minutes.

  1. In the Spotify app: open your profile. Spotify shows your top tracks of the month there. It is a short list and has no other time ranges.
  2. Here: press the "Log in to Spotify" button at the top of this page.
  3. Approve the read-only access on the Spotify page. We never change your account.
  4. Pick a time range: the last 4 weeks, the last 6 months or the last 12 months.
  5. Read your top 10, top 20 or top 50 songs.

Top 10, 20 or 50: which list to use

Use the top 10 for a quick look at your favourites. It fits on one screen and is easy to share.

Use the top 20 when you want to see what sits just below your favourites. It shows the songs you play often but not daily.

Use the top 50 for the full picture. It shows how wide your taste is and which songs you forgot you play.

The time range matters as much as the list size. The last 4 weeks shows what you play now. The last 6 months shows your current habits. The last 12 months shows the songs that stay with you all year.

Questions about your top songs

Why did my most played songs change?

Your list follows what you play. A song you repeat for a week can enter the list fast. Songs you stop playing drop out. The 4 week range changes the most and the 12 month range changes slowly.

Can I see my most listened to song of all time?

Spotify gives us three ranges: the last 4 weeks, the last 6 months and the last 12 months. The 12 month range is the longest one available, so a true all-time list is not possible.

How often does it update?

Spotify refreshes this data about once a day. Log in again to see the latest list.

Is it free?

Yes. The tool is free and you do not need to install anything. You only log in with your Spotify account.
